The new Maxsurf 2025 (v25.00) release introduces several productivity and workflow improvements across the Maxsurf suite, especially in Modeler, Stability, and Motions modules.
What’s New in Modeler
Arbitrary-axis surface shapes – You can now create spheres/hemispheres on any axis, including independent radii (perfect for ellipsoids and complex hull appendages).
Numerical mesh selection – Select mesh nodes and elements using exact numeric input for faster editing of scanned or imported geometry.
Stability Module Improvements
New report layout editor – Design and format stability reports directly inside Maxsurf, without relying on external MS Word templates.
Motions / Resistance Enhancements
Integrated calm-water resistance calculation – Resistance prediction is now available directly from the Motions module, especially useful for analyzing trimmed conditions.
